In Agni Perikleous is a young Greek- Cypriot dramatic soprano currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music in Classical Singing and Opera at the Conservatorium Maastricht under the guidance of Axel Everaert. She began her vocal studies with Andreas Aroditis before continuing her training in the Netherlands, where she is developing a versatile repertoire ranging from opera to art song.
Her early musical foundation was shaped at the National Conservatory of Limassol (2007–2013) and later at the Music School of Limassol “Marios Tokas” (2017–2019), where she studied classical voice, piano, double bass, choir, Byzantine and traditional music, and music theory. She also successfully completed several ABRSM piano and theory exams, building a solid technical and theoretical background.
Between 2012 and 2017, Agni was active as a double bass player, first with the Musical Talent Development Program and later with the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra. Alongside her instrumental training, she cultivated her passion for singing, performing with the Melodramatic Ensemble (2017–2019) and appearing in productions such as Amahl and the Night Visitors (2019).
Agni has taken part in numerous concerts and choral projects, including:
Michalis Christodoulides’ Composition Premiere (2018), Choral Crossroads (2018, 2019), Cypriots Concert at the Musikverein, Vienna (2018).
Since moving to Maastricht, she has continued to expand her stage presence with performances in: La Lirica Italiana (Nov 2024), Opera Klass (Dec 2024), Class Concert (Apr 2025)
Her artistic growth has also been enriched through masterclasses (2019–2021) with Martina Rübig, Anna Samuil, Turan von Arim, and Fionnuala McCarthy.
Agni’s artistry is defined by her warm colour, deep connection to text and music, and her dedication to combining technical discipline with emotional authenticity. She is committed to building a career in opera while continuing to explore Lied and choral repertoire, aiming to bring classical music closer to diverse audiences.
